Every three years, the smiles of political candidates, frozen in time and space on billboards, are defaced with Sharpie-drawn moustaches, sexist comments and racism. Party leaders walk through malls of smartphone-wielding New Zealanders, eager to shake the hands of power and have a selfie to prove it.
The recent decision of the Family Court in Rangi v Mable (not their real names)  NZFC 10811 relates to the role of a sperm donor in the life of the child he helped create.

Joseph Johnson, Chea Hemara and William Hines were charged with the 2017 murder of Palmiro MacDonald (a patched member of the Nomads gang). The criminal proceedings had an inter-gang backdrop which was littered with issues about witness anonymity and prison informants.
