Where There’s a Will, There’s a Right Way

Will drafting basics for beginners

Learn the fundamental skills of Will preparation, from the initial client meeting and best practice for taking instructions, to drafting a plain-English Will post the Trusts Act 2019, advising the client, and practical tips for execution including the requirements for a valid Will under s 11 of the Wills Act 2007.

The webinar will address problems that can arise in the interview, family member involvement, capacity red-flags and assessment issues, execution considerations and difficulties that can arise when making amendments.  It will also provide a brief case law update on what has (and has not) been declared a valid Will by the High Court under s 14 of the Wills Act 2007.
