Hannah Kim

Barrister

Hannah Kim was admitted to the bar in 2006 and practised as a junior Criminal Barrister till 2012, moving on to becoming a Barrister Sole since. She practices criminal law predominantly in South Auckland and regularly appears in District Court in both the jury trial and judge alone jurisdictions. She also appears in the High Court for appeal work and trials. She is passionate about prison reform and improving prisoner’s rights and frequently attends parole hearings on behalf of clients seeking release into the community.

She is currently co-convener of the Parole Sub-committee for the ADLS and enjoys the challenge of pursuing justice for those incarcerated. She is also the Treasurer of the SABA.
