Lawyers wanting a change in direction
Are you looking to join a supportive team in an interesting and stimulating environment making a real difference to the law and legal profession? If you are a qualified lawyer and want to help promote a thriving legal community in Aotearoa New Zealand, this could be the very role you have been seeking.
About the opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to manage and coordinate a portfolio of specialist legal committees and sub-committees within this professional organisation. You will need to keep abreast of potential legislative changes and activities that impact on each committee, as you support and contribute to legal discourse in the interests of the profession through coordinating and facilitating the committees to achieve outcomes. You will also be a champion at assimilating large volumes of complex information relating to cutting edge developments in law.
You are a results-focused individual who builds and maintains relationships naturally. As a confident and professional individual, you have the ability and influence to motivate and encourage others, as you liaise with busy professionals in the legal profession and motivate them to contribute to the aims of this dynamic organisation. You can skilfully deal with complex situations and happy to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative. You enjoy being hands-on and can come up to speed quickly on a range of multi-faceted legal subject areas. You also have a high level of coordination and time management skills as you manage several key stakeholders.
What success looks like
To be successful in this role with ADLS you will need sound computer skills, be a strong team player and have the confidence and professional nous to deal with the legal community across all levels. The team aims high and thinks boldly, and we are looking for someone to complement them with fresh thinking, innovative ideas, energy and enthusiasm, and someone who is not afraid to have a point of view.
